Spring has sprung and our section is looking forward to the many upcoming activities.

The Antiques Roadshow and the June Jamboree are always big hits so please make sure that you mark your calendar and plan on attending these two fabulous events.

It is also time to think about getting all that winter dirt and grime that has found a home on your daily driver and getting the dust off off the baby that has been in winter hibernation.

On another note, we are always looking for new ideas for events and things
to do – if you have any, please share them and even better yet, if you would like to get involved in planning or help run an event, please let me know. We can always use more help. Remember – many hands make light work.

Personally, I look forward to detailing the engines of our cars which I do not do over the winter months, just because it is too cold. Even though I do wipe it down in the garage, there is no substitute for pulling it out of the garage and working on it in the sunshine on the driveway. It is also fun to get into the nooks and crannies of the wheels and make them shine – there is only so much brake dust and grime one can get off while your fingers are freezing.
